The Friends of Foster Hill Road Cemetery have received a prestigious award presented by the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE). The CPRE work to promote and protect our countryside and the CPRE Bedfordshire Living Countryside Awards celebrate the great projects happening right across the county.
We were delighted to receive the CPRE “Highly Recommended” award in the “Biodiversity and Landscape Improvement” category. This category recognises the work our volunteers carry out in conserving, protecting and improving our beautiful Cemetery. We reached the last eight in this category, and were warmly praised for the good work done, especially that done by the Thursday working party. It was a great feeling to know that the hard work and determination of the working party has been officially recognised.
Well done to everyone concerned, especially our hardworking and dedicated working party.
